About Us
National Seeds Corporation (NSC) of India is a fully owned company of the Government of India. It is a Miniratna status company. It is administered by the Ministry of Agriculture. NSC was established in 1963 to provide the farmers good quality hybrid seeds and to make them aware about the new techniques of farming so as to increase the agricultural production and make India self dependent in terms of food. Presently NSC is producing certified seeds of nearly 600 varieties of 60 crops through its production units and Labs. Since its establishment NSC has maintained a high standard in quality control and to ensure this NSC has set up Laboratories as well in various parts of the country viz. New Delhi, Bhopal, Pune, Kolkata and Secunderabad. These Labs. test the quality of seeds before offering them for sell in the open market.
